39 year old voice actress Chisa Yokoyama revealed in a Sunday blog entry that she was in a motor scooter accident on Saturday. She said that her broken left arm and other injuries will need 3 weeks to heal. Her other injuries include bruises on her left side, scratches on her right side, pain in all her muscles, and a sore neck from her arm's sling.
According to Yokoyama, a door of parked car suddenly opened and struck the side of her scooter. She acknowledged taht she has to direct recollecation of how the accident happened, But said that the aftermath can be seen in the damage to exterior of the car's door and the center section of her scooter. She asked her blog readers to "be careful not just influenze, but also cars".
Yokoyama known for voicing the main character in the anime Sakura wars as Shinguji Sakura, She also voiced Sasami in Tenchi Muyo! and Kgurazaka Yuna in Galaxy Fraulein Yuna

A Korean teaser site for Dragon Ball Online, CJ Internet and Bandai Korea's massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on Akira Toriyama's fighting manga, has launched with an updated trailer movie on Monday. (In the linked
page, select the "Game Movie" option at the bottom left.) The trailer features new scenes not seen in last year's promotional movie, including a shot of a mysterious unnamed character at the very end. The game was originally slated to open in Korea last year and in Japan this year, but it is now slated for closed beta testing in Korea next month.
The game is being jointly developed by Japanese and Korean staffers, and is set 250 years after Toriyama's original manga. (According to the producers, Toriyama is supervising the designs of the characters and monsters.) In this Age 1000 era, the world is at peace until mysterious invaders appear. Despite the timeframe difference, the producers are promising that players can recreate the feel of the original manga with battles in Dragon Ball's signature Tenkaichi BudÅkai tournaments and "time machine quests."

Shoko Nakagawa, the Gurren Lagann theme singer and self-professed otaku known to her fans as "Shokotan," collaborated with popular web animator Rareko (Yawaraka Sensha) on a music video for NHK's Paphooo Festival 2009 event this summer. The event took place on July 28, but the NHK General TV channel's Paphooo program will air a one-hour special on the festival this Saturday night in Japan. Nakagawa and Paphooo have been hosting a project called Gattai Animal Design, in which people submit ideas for mascot characters that combine animals with various objects. Rareko chose one character, Nabesan Design's Onigiri Neko (literally, "rice-ball cat"), as the inspiration for an anime video. In turn, Nakagawa wrote a song called "Makka na Atashi" (Scarlet Me) based on Onigiri Neko, and the female rock band Guruguru composed the music. Former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman produced the song and performed some guitar work. During the Paphooo Festival 2009 event, Nakagawa and Friedman performed the song live while Rareko's anime video played on the screen behind them. A short clip from the anime video can be seen in the first video on the Gattai Animal Design website.
Nakagawa has another character called Sukashi Kashipan Man ("Sand Dollar/Sweet Bun Man") which she said will be made into a live-action project in the America. Rareko is best known for creating the Flash anime Yawaraka Sensha about a soft, fragile battle tank on the Livedoor Net Anime website. Friedman made a cameo with his frequent drumming collaborator Jeremy Colson and Kiss lead singer Gene Simmons in last year's live-action film adaptation of Kiminori Wakasugi's Detroit Metal City comedy manga.

OkiJava Dance Performance
After years of thought and study, Garret Kam choreographed the "Oki Java Journey" which was inspired by the similarities of elements in Okinawan and Javanese dance. History has shown that there were some cultural contacts between the island kingdom of Ruu-chu (Chinese 'Liu Ch'iu' and Japanese 'Ryukyu) and Majapahit in Java.
Garret Kam will be performing some dance choreography which blend various elements of Okinawan and Javanese dances. This performance will be held at:

Garrett Kam, who is originally from Hawaii, has devoted himself to the performing arts of Southeast Asia and especially those of Java, which he has learned, performed and taught since 1975. He studied under master teachers of the sultan’s court in Yogyakarta, Java, at the Pamulangan Beksa Ngayogyakarta and Mardawa Budaya dance schools.
Garrett also began learning Okinawan dance in 1982 at the Okinawan Jikoen Temple in Honolulu, with the Majikina Honryuu Buyo Dojo dance schools in Hawaii and Kitanakagusuku in Okinawa, and the Jimpu Kai Usa Kin Ryosho Ryukyu Geino Kenkyusho dance school in Honolulu.
He has recently started to blend movements from Okinawa and Java into a personal style that reflects his deep interest in these two island cultures. Some of the individual dances have been performed in Java, Bali and Hawaii but are being premiered as a complete suite in Singapore.

Anime News Network has been informed that there will be an announcement tomorrow regarding the "One Piece streaming/simulcast."
FUNimation Entertainment planned to start online simulcast streaming of One Piece on May 30, with episode 403, which they aimed to make available within one hour of the Japanese broadcast. However the simulcast was quickly canceled after episode 403 was leaked and distributed online illegally more than a day before the Japanese broadcast.
Other titles affected by the leak have since returned to Funimation's online streaming services. However, Funimation has yet to restore the streams of One Piece. Episode 413 was broadcast in Japan on August 16.

Tokyo police have arrested 38-year-old singer and actress
Noriko Sakai on drug 
possession charges after she turned herself in at a Tokyo police facility on Saturday evening. Sakai had been missing since Monday, when her husband, self-described professional surfer Yuichi Takaso, had also been arrested for alleged possession of illegal stimulants. The police issued a warrant for Sakai's arrest on Friday after they reportedly found stimulants and a straw used to inhale the drugs at her residence. Police investigators allege that Sakai was a regular user after saying that they discovered traces of Sakai's DNA in the saliva on the straw.
Police had traced Sakai's mobile phone signal to the central Japanese prefecture of Yamanashi before the signal stopped on Tuesday night. Officials found the couple's son in the care of an acquaintance of Sakai on Thursday.
In addition to her mainstream singing and acting career, Sakai performed the theme songs in Gunbuster, Video Girl Ai, and Anime Sanjushi. She also played roles in the live-action Juon: The Grudge 2 film and the Soreike! Anpanman: Gomira no Hoshi anime, and narrated the Pikachu and Pichu short.
